Our Story

Since 2002, founders Nick and Lori Heimann have prided themselves on creating a landscaping business that puts customers at the forefront of operations. Their vision for Groundscapes was to create outdoor spaces that people could enjoy as an extension of their home, with the beauty, comfort, and amenities that fit their personal lifestyles. In the ensuing years, Groundscapes cultivated a team of trusted, experienced professionals who are trained in the arts of landscape architecture, hardscape construction, planting, and more. By working closely with homeowners, the Groundscapes team brings customers’ landscape dreams to life.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes! We offer complimentary initial consultations to discuss your project, understand your goals, and evaluate your property. During this meeting, we'll answer your questions, discuss ideas, and explain the design and construction process so you can determine if Groundscapes is the right fit for your project.

Do you provide landscape design before construction?

Absolutely. Every project begins with a thoughtful design process. We provide an initial conceptual design at no cost, allowing you to visualize ideas and establish the direction of your project. For larger or more complex projects, additional design services may be required and are quoted based on the scope of work.

Can you handle every aspect of my outdoor project?

Yes. Groundscapes is a true design-build company, managing every phase from concept through completion, including landscape design, pools, patios, hardscapes, outdoor kitchens, fire features, retaining walls, landscape lighting, irrigation, drainage, plantings, water features, and ongoing maintenance. Working with one experienced team ensures seamless communication, accountability, and a finished project where every element works together beautifully

Will I be able to see what my project will look like before construction?

Yes. We provide both professional 2D plans and immersive 3D renderings so you can visualize your outdoor space before construction begins and make confident decisions before work starts.
